For my devotional this morning, I read Psalm 139. (A little side note: the last 3 or 4 months, I've been doing a devotional every day before work. This is something I've never taken seriously until recently. It's amazing how it impacts your life when you commit and do it consistently.)
I usually don't share Bible stuff because I'm not confident about my knowledge of the Word. I'm very insecure about interpreting things the wrong way. I was just very impacted by this chapter today. ALL of the verses in Psalm 139 hit me but there were three that I wrote in my notebook that really stuck out:
-v.1: Stated in the above picture.
When I start believing lies about myself, I'll read this and know that God knows the real me.
-v.17: "How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered."
Basically, God thinks I'm awesome no matter how I feel about myself (this, for me, is in reference to my past actions that are lingering in my mind even though they happened so many years ago.).
-v.23: "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts."
That's just straight forward.
